Overview
Damián Vondrášek (b. 1991, Prague) is studying direction at Prague’s Film Academy (FAMU). He was already making movies before entering school; his short work "In the Rain" (2014) was presented at the Prague Short Film Festival. "Together" (2015) took the best director award at Famufest. "Impris-oned" (2016) was selected to San Sebastian IFF and Karlovy Vary IFF (Future Frames: Ten New Filmmakers To Follow section), also nominated for the Magnesia Award for Best Student Film (pre-sented during the Czech Lion Awards). His short "Frontier" was supported by Czech Film Fund and co-produced by Czech television and FAMU and premiered at Trieste Film Festival.
