Viktor Ivanov
Overview
Viktor Ivanov is a Soviet and Ukrainian film director, screenwriter, writer.
He was born in the city of Kozyatyn, Kyiv province. In 1936, he graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (Sergei Eisenstein's workshop).
During World War II, he fought in the ranks of the Red Army and was wounded.
He worked at the Sverdlovsk, Vilnius, Kaunas film studios.
Since 1950, he worked as a director at the Dovzhenko Kyiv Film Studio.
He was a member of the Union of Writers of Ukraine (since 1956) and the Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine.
