Matías Rojas
Overview
Matías Rojas Valencia (born in 1984) is a Chilian director. He lived in the south of Chile until he went to Santiago to attend Film School, specializing in Screenwriting and Directing. He has made short films, documentaries and art videos. His first feature film, Root, was a finalist in the Work in Progress Competition at the Havana International Film Festival and selected for the BAL Work in Progress Competition at BAFICI, Buenos Aires. It also won the Chilean State Post Production Fund in 2013. Root was premiered in the “Horizontes Latinos” Competition at the San Sebastián Festival, 2013.
