The honeymoon between the newly married couple Lydia and Count von Teyn soon comes to an end. The count makes his new wife jealous when he helps a female rider who makes obvious advances at him. Lydia has barely forgiven her husband before things go wrong again. During a horse race, the count has a terrible accident that leaves him paralysed. Lydia must be strong and make up her mind: How far is she willing to go to help her beloved?
