Applaus
Luis is seventeen years old and lonely. He wants to be seen and heard, to belong. On an evening with his newfound friend Jakob and the twin brothers, the extent of Luis’s demand for recognition becomes clear. Applaus is the story of a teenager, told in finely nuanced, granular, black-and-white images; between loneliness and the need for recognition, private life, and YouTube publicity.
