Serhat is an eleven-year-old boy with a speech impediment, living with his mother in a rural village in Anatolia, Turkey. His mother is withdrawn, spending her days watching TV and isolating herself from the outside world. One day, Serhat goes for a bike ride with Hatice, a lively and imaginative girl his age. Through Hatice's willingness to communicate despite Serhat's condition, he discovers a world far more colorful and engaging than his mother's gray, isolated existence. Serhat confronts behind the reasons of his speech impediment throughout this journey.
