Toby Shelton
Overview
Toby Shelton is an American director, animator, and storyboard artist. He began his career as an assistant animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios in 1980. Shelton contributed to various Disney projects, including The Black Cauldron (1985) and The Great Mouse Detective (1986). He later worked as a storyboard artist for DreamWorks Animation, Disneytoon Studios, and Walt Disney Television Animation. Notable works include Darkwing Duck (1991), where he served as supervising character designer and animation director, and Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas (1999), which he directed.
