Overview
Leo Coleman was an African-American dancer, choreographer, and actor who performed with Katherine Dunham's troupe and appeared in a number of Italian films. He made his Broadway debut in Gian Carlo Menotti's opera The Medium, and went on to star in the Italian film production of the opera.
