Bob Phillips
Overview
Bob Phillips (died June 29, 2018) was an American art director best known for his work on Sesame Street, where he began in 1990 and became sole production designer in 2010. He shared multiple Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design. Phillips retired from the show in 2015. His career began in 1979 as a set designer for off-Broadway productions, and he also worked on soap operas such as Another World and Search for Tomorrow. He continued designing for the stage throughout his career, including work with the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival.
