Overview

Adam Palmer is a multi-award winning filmmaker, based in the West Midlands. He is a member of the BFI NETWORK x BAFTA Crew 2021 scheme, and recently a BAFTA BFI Film Academy Mentor.

His first film, the 16mm short film ‘CARRIAGES’ went on to win ‘Best Comedy’ (including nominations for ‘Best Screenplay’ and ‘Best Film’) at Screentest Festival 2014, and secured distribution in Japan via Pacific Voice Inc. His next short, ‘ANSWER‘, a no-budget film created in just two days, was recognised worldwide at various film festivals, including Toronto Lift-Off Film Festival 2018, and took home ‘Best Film‘ at the Breakout Film Festival 2018.

2020 saw the release of ‘JUDAS‘, his most recent project starring Nick Preston (Ladhood, Our Girl) and Lawrence Walker (Find Me in Paris, Our Girl), which premiered online with Directors Notes. The film has received high praise from various outlets, and screened in November at the BAFTA-Qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival 2020.

Adam is currently developing a number of projects, from short films to music videos, as well as writing his debut feature film, ‘TENBY‘.
