Overview
Soo-Jeong Kang is the founder of The New Yorker Documentary series. Under Kang’s leadership, The New Yorker Documentaries were celebrated for culturally diverse storytelling, winning the magazine its first Emmy and receiving numerous other honors including multiple Edward R. Murrow Awards, National Magazine Awards, and SPD Awards. In 2023, she joined National Geographic to lead its Video and Visuals as Vice President. Previously she was an Executive Producer at The New York Times.
