Hanif Zaini Abdullah

Overview

Hanif Zaini Abdullah, was born in West Jakarta, with a wide and diverse environment making him more sensitive to his surroundings. His interest in the world of cinema made him interested in exploring and expressing his perspective and telling stories through the medium of film.

He also made his short film debut entitled "SIUL (2019)" which he screened on online platforms, after tracing his first steps he was increasingly unsatisfied that he felt to learn more to develop, make and show the beauty of cinema. His film "A Will to Fly Away" won the Best Short Film Semi Finalist Award at the Student World Impact Film Festival 2023. Hanif is still actively making movies. He owns a production house called Layar Labuh Films and wants to continue developing it with his works. Hanif is currently studying at the Jakarta Institute of Arts, Faculty of Film and Television.
