Overview
A Soviet Ukrainian-born composer educated at the Petro Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, Yakiv Lapynskyi is most known for his work in Yevgeni Sherstobitov's The Andromeda Nebula. Lapynskyi received the Honored Art Worker of Ukraine medal in 1991. He died on January 30th, 2020, in Darmstadt, Germany.
