Overview

Merivelle Hannah is an American filmmaker, writer, director, and actor of Greek heritage. She is best known for her films "Opa" and "The Sitdown," which have gained recognition at various film festivals. At just 19 years old, she became one of the youngest filmmakers to be accepted into the prestigious Beverly Hills Film Festival, marking a significant early milestone in her career. She is also a member of the Directors Unit at The Actors Studio, where she continues to refine her craft.

In addition to her work behind the camera, Merivelle has established herself as an actor, further expanding her presence in the entertainment industry. Growing up, she witnessed the workings of the Lee Strasberg Method acting at The Actors Studio, which deeply influenced her understanding of the craft. She also watched her grandfather, Lou Antonio, direct episodes of "Boston Legal." The influence of her grandparents, Lou Antoniou and Lane Bradbury, has played a key role in shaping her artistic path.

Merivelle has won 19 awards for her work, including recognition for her film "Codependent on Desire," which has been showcased at multiple film festivals.
