Overview
Charlbi Dean Kriek (February 5, 1990 - August 29, 2022) was a South African actress and model. She was raised in Cape Town, and at age six she began her modelling career. In 2010, Charlbi made her acting debut in the film Spud as Amanda. She reprised her role as Amanda in the film’s sequel, Spud 2: The Madness Continues. She then went to star in films such as Don’t Sleep (2018) and An Interview with God (2019). In 2022, she starred in the Palme d’Or winning film Triangle of Sadness.
A few months after Triangle of Sadness premiered, Dean died of an unexpected illness on August 29, 2022. She was 32.
