Osman Kering
Overview
Osman bin Kassim or better known as Osman Kering (1964–29 June 2012)is a Malaysian actor and comedian. He was originally from Bachok, Kelantan. He was famously known for his potrayal in Adik (1990), Si Jantung Hati (1986) and Soal hati (2000).
He began to venture his interest in acting after appeared as the winner of the TV Talent Competition hosted by Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) in 1979. The name 'Osman Kering' was the idea of Mek Habsah in a show in the mid-1980s. He also recorded an album in the west with Mek Habsah and Yahya Sulong, Acid Spicy in 1991.
Osman married Che Norhayati Che Omar in 1983 and is blessed with seven children and four grandchildren. He passed away on June 29, 2012, at the National University Hospital of Malaysia (HUKM) due to coughing disease at the age of 58. He was buried at Bukit Tandang Islamic Cemetery, Petaling Jaya.
