About
Joseph Inman
Overview
Joseph Inman is a disabled writer / director living and working in Cornwall. He works across documentary and fiction, blending the two together through politically charged pieces that star non-actors and use community participation.
Joseph is interested in how storytelling and community collide, the power that coastal communities hold and the platforming of underrepresented voices. Joseph has won two Gorsedh Kernow awards for outstanding contribution to Cornish Culture, as well as best regional short at Cornwall Film Festival.
His documentary A Village with a View about the Cornish housing crisis has been nominated for several awards and was the only British film in the RAI Film Festival's shorts programme. His latest film, SPINES is a semi-autobiographical short about his experience growing up with autism, funded by BFI NETWORK.
