Overview
Jay-r Julio is a fourth-year film student at the University of the Philippines - Diliman. He is an independent producer, director, and an aspiring cinematographer. He is mainly interested in telling queer stories and stories that focus on family, migration, and memory. His latest project, '50lo Trip With Lolo Dan', with Denbert Tiamson, has been selected as a finalist for this year’s FDCP x MMFF Student Short Film Competition, which will take place this December. Jay-r's directorial debut, 'Pagpag', is currently in post-production and is set to premiere in 2025.
