Overview
Mark Burt is a British screenwriter of television and film. He made his screenwriting debut with the single film FORGIVE AND FORGET (ITV/STV), which he wrote as his graduation piece from the Northern School of Film and Television. It was directed by BAFTA winner Aisling Walsh, featured a cast including John Simm, Stephen Graham, Nikki Amuka-Bird and Meera Syal and received its premiere at the 1999 London Film Festival. He next wrote a two-part adaptation of the Simon Beckett novel WHERE THERE’S SMOKE (ITV/Talisman Films). It was directed by BAFTA nominee Richard Signy. Since then, he has written episodes of period drama HOME FIRES
