Overview
Hipólito Yrigoyen (1852-1933) was Argentina's first democratically elected president. He served two non-consecutive terms (1916-1922 and 1928-1930). He wasn't able to conclude his second term as he was overthrown by a military coup, being the first of many during the 20th century.
