Brian Wilson
Overview
Brian Wilson is an Emmy-winning filmmaker who got his start in the ‘90s, editing for Lifetime Television’s INTIMATE PORTRAITS. The 2019 feature documentary he co-wrote and co-edited, THE STORY OF PLASTIC, addressing the global plastic crisis, aired on Discovery and received numerous honors, including the 2020 Emmy for Outstanding Documentary Writing. Brian also co-directed and co-edited 2014 feature documentary A WILL FOR THE WOODS, the story of a man with terminal lymphoma who is determined to receive a natural burial and help save a tract of North Carolina woods from being clear-cut. It aired nationally on PBS's AMERICA REFRAMED, won multiple festival awards, and continues to be a key document of the conservation burial movement. Brian graduated from Brown University with a degree in Comparative Literature and History.
