Rodolfo Santana
Overview
Rodolfo Santana (Guarenas; October 25, 1944 - Caracas, October 21, 2012) was a Venezuelan playwright and theater director. He wrote more than eighty plays, many of them translated into various languages and performed in Latin America and Europe. The theatrical works of Rodolfo Santana have been among the most persistent of Venezuelan dramaturgy. Perhaps also the most revised and rewritten by its own author, for whom the essential nuances of the dramatic text were inseparable from its own historical, cultural, political and intellectual future.
