Gary Garabedian
Overview
His original name is Ghara Bit Bedekian (غره بت بيديكيان), he was born in Baghdad in 1935. He came to Lebanon in 1950 and joined the National University School in Aley. He dropped out of high school and traveled to San Francisco, where he studied film directing for four years. He joined Lebanese TV since its founding in 1959 on June 30, where he directed several programs, including Abu Melhem, Memoirs of Inspector Hamdi and The Most Beautiful Nights of Scheherazade. He died in a fire accident while filming the last shots of his movie We Are All Freedom Fighters on October 5, 1968 in Beirut.
