Overview
Vasilios Tanis is a makeup artist. Tanis's career encompasses a range of high-profile projects. He served as the makeup co-department head for Marvel Studios' "WandaVision," a role that garnered him a nomination for Outstanding Period and/or Character Makeup (Non-Prosthetic) at the 2021 Emmy Awards. In 2024, he led the makeup department for Sony's "Madame Web," where he was instrumental in the on-screen transformation of actors such as Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney into superheroes. His television credits include serving as the key makeup artist for the political drama "House of Cards," contributing to 71 episodes from 2013 to 2018. Tanis's work on this series was recognised with a nomination at the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards in 2015 for Best Contemporary Makeup in a Television and New Media Series.
