Lauren Slatten
Overview
Lauren grew up in Saint Louis, Missouri, where she worked for her parents Monument Company designing tombstones on the computer over her summers. Her job over the years became helping families create a means to remember those they loved most through art. She realized then that she wanted to study art, history, architecture and design and pursue a life connecting it all.
After earning undergraduate degrees in art history and art from Washington University, Lauren went on to study architecture at the University of Cincinnati. Moving out to Los Angeles, she began taking classes at the Art Director’s union and teaching classes at Studio Arts in Vectorworks and Sketchup. Currently, she is training herself to use Rhino. She has worked all over the country and internationally and loves to travel for both her job and for pleasure. Most recently, she worked as the art director for the HBO series “Watchmen” as well as the Paul Greengrass feature, “News of the World.” She also production designed an independent feature film in Romania that premiered at the 2019 Fantastic Film Festival: “The Cleansing Hour” directed by Damien LeVeck.
