In addition to revolutionizing animation, Walt Disney soon realized that music could become a key element in the success of his films. Thus, from "Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs" in 1938, he gave a central place to the songs before calling on his songwriters from pop to write original melodies in "Mary Poppins" in 1964.
