The film is about the first cooperative house in Moscow, many of whose residents were victims of Stalinist repression. The author of the film’s idea is a long-term resident Dmitry Belanovsky, whose family moved there in 1939. The former owner of the apartment was repressed by the NKVD. For many years, Dmitry was haunted by the thought of who lived before him in this apartment and how the fate of these people was. It took almost twenty years to find the answer.
