The Elder Wife
A simple family lives in the Kalmyk village - Baira and her husband Congress. They love each other, they cut and sell sheep together, they keep house, they never part and they don't know any other life. And suddenly the Congress brings a second wife to the house - he promised a neighbor before his death to marry her granddaughter. The granddaughter is a young beauty, and even pregnant. Baira looks at herself in the mirror with despair - she is 40 years old...
