Turkey had declared 2012 as “The Year of Coal” and welcomed 2016 with plans of building more than 70 fossil fuel plants in addition to the actively operating 21. As the growing economic pie is divided up by the powers, the only thing left for us to do is to stand up for our unwatered lands, barely breathable polluted air, and our right to living in a carcinogen-free environment.
