Five years after the Chornobyl tragedy, the “Ukrkinokhronika” studio crew visits institutions within 30 kilometres of the Chornobyl station. They interview researchers about radiation effects, showing photos of anomalous plants and birth defects. The film combines interviews with aerial footage of abandoned areas, highlighting the church as a place where life persists.
