Recently orphaned Tony and his 14 year old brother Pat are sent to go live with their eccentric Uncle Frank, their only remaining family. Frank is an old world magician who owns and operates a combined haunted house attraction and Halloween costume shop in a small New England town. He is also recovering from the death of his beloved wife, Vincenza. Tony, suffering from bouts of anger and depression just can't adjust to working and living in this strange and macabre world of severed heads, clown masks and life size wax figurines . Shunned as an outsider by most of the local teens, he manages to find friendship with the kind and lovely Melissa...making him an instant enemy of the high school wrestling team all star Jory.
