Tsing escapes by her magic power and is disappointed to find that Madam Tien is not her mother. She later comes across Madam Chuan and the two together run an inn.

Madam Chuan's son Ah Chuan steals money from her mother and goes to bet. He loses the money and is chased by the debtor. Luk passes by and helps him. Chuan takes Luk to the inn and Luk meets Tsing again but finds that she is indifferent to him.

Priest Shen bribes Ah Chuan and Tsing is captured. Shen takes the chance to cheat people for money and throws Tsing into the river. Luk reveals Shen's trick and saves Tsing. This time, Tsing can no longer suppress her love for Luk.
