Born and raised in the small town of Riverside, California, Reggie was the fourth of five children. In an athletically gifted family, he was anything but. As a youngster, he suffered from a physical disability that restricted his mobility. Once the problem was corrected, he began to develop his basketball skills by challenging his older sister.
