Bruce Rice - Executive Director WGCA Radio and Dixie Forte - Director for the Monthly National Day of Prayer are interviewed by Dr. Debra Peppers on the Outreach Connection program.

Bruce Rice who is also president of the Christian Ministers Fellowship states "Our city leaders have always valued the importance of prayer and the place it holds in our community,".

Local pastors and civic leaders always gather at two sites on the day to pray for their community that will provide an accent to National Day of Prayer.

Further discussion of the annual Mayor's Breakfast at 7 a.m. at the Salvation Army, followed by a community prayer service at noon at City Hall, punctuate the National Day of Prayer activities.

The Chosen Ones – Southern Gospel Concert also made an appearance at the 2008 National Day of Prayer in Quincy, Illinois.
