悟空为救乡民与巨蛇妖展开一场混天黑地的大战，降服了巨蛇，得到紫阳真人秘藏的医药宝书，吞入腹中，成了名医。朱子国王后为麒麟山妖王抢去，欲逼之为妻。好在妖王讨好她，让她穿了紫阳真人的紫金衣，反成碰不得的保护衫。唐僧师徒来到朱子国，八戒呈能揭了医治国王的榜文，悟空初试名医手段。
