Misunderstood to be working with TING to kill ABBESS CHING FUNG, HANG is surrounded by the disciples of WAH SHAN CLAN but escapes with CHUN's help. ABBESS FU MUI is suspicious of the murderer's identity since CHING FUNG is killed by THE TAI IN FINGER of WAH SHAN CLAN itself.

On their way back to the capital, CHING and YING visit the Wai's Mansion. Threatened by TING to expose the past crime of the Wai’s unless he joins the BAT PALACE, WAI commits suicide.

Coming across hardships time and again, YING is worried. In spite of YING's persuasion the curious CHING secretly set off for the Peaceful Mansion after hearing that YUEN is gathering the clan's leaders there to discuss how to deal with the corrupt people.

The official is bribed by YING who fears that HANG will threaten CHING's live to accuse HANG of robbery and to confine him.… ...
