The news of Paolo's illness has devastated him. He acts as if he has only a short time to live, becomes overly sentimental, and begins to take care of the house: he tidies up Cristina's room, repairs appliances that had been broken for ages, and even gives up the nursery to Capone, Valentini, and Merloni. The only thing he can't do is find the courage to tell Laura and his children everything.

After receiving the good news from the doctor, Paolo and Laura are full of energy and determined to live more peacefully. Giorgi must deal with Cristina's decision to work with Martina in a call center. Meanwhile, Capone, Valentini, and Merloni have no intention of giving up the nursery that the coach had promised them as an inheritance.
