Gabriel has left the priesthood to live with Claudia, when his patient and old friend, Francesca, manages to bring to life a demonic monster capable of emerging from a person's dreams and then killing them in reality. The nightmare also interacts with Claudia, who falls victim to it.

A young woman hears her dead son's cries deep in the catacombs near her home, and the same sounds are heard first by a medium and then by the local parish priest. Everyone in her family believes she's a poor madwoman, but the girl refuses to give up and manages to contact Father Gabriel and Claudia.
