Kovalev is being pressured to work, demanding to part with Tanya. Tanya Zakharzhevskaya with Lilya rest in the sanatorium, and at this time the General with his assistants rob the apartment. By an absurd chance, the whole gang is covered by the police. During the interrogation, the General in every possible way tries to shield Tanya, but without success. She's being arrested. Kovalev leads Tanya Pribludova to the restaurant. She does not yet suspect that this is their last evening ...
