The forest animals are preparing for carnival fun, in which, despite Ursula's encouragement, Doctor Bubó only participates as a doctor on duty. Elefáni sadly sells parsley because no one wants to dance with her because of her height, especially her chosen one, Fábián Pávián, who is only willing to ask the prom queen. Bubó successfully convinces President Kecske to choose the elephant girl as this year's winner. Elefáni, the winner, happily dances with Fábián, but steps on his leg and breaks it in several places. Her unlucky dance partner insults her after the accident, further undermining her low self-esteem.
