During the period when HO NAM is in prison, WEI SUM has not told him that TING PONG is his real father. She fears HO NAM might stand on TING PONG's side to attack KIU CHING and this will of course destroy the very many good years of relationship between HO NAM and KIU CHING. On several occasions, TING PONG visits HO NAM at the prison as an ordinary inspector. HO NAM cannot understand why TING PONG is paying him all these visits. He presumes TING PONG is just pretentious and therefore keeps him at a distance. Being treated badly by HO NAM is making TING PONG very hunted.
