Jonathan makes the mistake of telling Ellen about his old relationship with Swedes and Ellen goes crazy without Jonathan understanding the reason, since that particular relationship was long before she knew Ellen. The women in the family try to explain to her that she is exaggerated since the relationship was before she met him, while the men take Jonathan's lessons for the women and that they don't care if something is in the past. He should never talk about a former and teach him to apologize to her. Jonathan does it, but along with her apology she also tells many details about Swedes, which makes Ellen even more insane. Slowly, though everyone is comfortable with Ellen and Jonathan's subject, they all lose their temper and begin to quarrel as they learn about their partner's past.
