LAI CHING SHAN is a geomancer who is eager to find good locations as tombs. His wife worries as SHAN's work will disclose secrets of the Heaven and may bring punishment. As their younger son YEE is sick, SHAN promises to quit his job after his work with the CHINs.

SHAN comes across FONG WING and his wife. From them, he knows that the CHINs try to force the villagers to remove their ancestors' tomb. SHAN is discontented and does not want to work for them. However he is threatened by them and has to continue his work. Moreover he is forced to swear to keep the secret of the tomb to protect the CHINs. As his work has spoiled the geomancy of WING's family, WING wife dies after giving birth to MUI. SHAN's elder brother dies in an accident too.… ...
