1st April 2004. The police receive information about the plot to assassinate the new Commissioner of Police WONG CHUN YEUNG before his inauguration at the end of the month, which causes panic in the Force. Senior Inspector of the Organised Crime and Triad Bureau LUK YIU KWOK and the head of a triad organisation HAU MAN WAH are childhood friends. Senior Inspector VINCENT WONG of the Criminal Intelligence Bureau learns that WAH is going to harm YEUNG. When he learns of the unusual relationship between KWOK and WAH, he concludes that KWOK is WAH’s insider in the police. Undercover police officer YEUNG KAI TUNG has infiltrated WAH’s organisation. TUNG’s subordinate KEUNG hides in a back street after accidentally killing a man who has visited a prostitute. Coincidently, Regional Crime Unit sergeant FUNG CHI WAI passes by and is knocked down from behind. He finds out that his gun is missing when he regains consciousness.… ...
