By dint of hard rehearsal, Lo-yuan eventually wins the recognition of Ya, who orders her to lead the other dancers in a performance to highlight the wedding ceremony.

To seek peace with Tu Chi, Liu Shih offers the hand of his daughter Ying-chi to Tu Shen. On the way to the wedding, Ying-chi meets Tu-shen, and greatly disgusted by his wanton behaviour, she returns home midway.
