In May 2020, 26-year-old Melissa left home without warning and flew 2,000 miles across the country, leaving behind a note that said, “One day, Dr. Phil will be able to help me.” Melissa’s family says months before she left, she hadn’t “been herself,” but has no idea why she up and vanished.
