MEI-KAM and HOK-YIU intend to leave Shanghai, but their plan is uncovered by SIU-SHAN, who thus locks the mother and son in their rooms. With the Chinese Sector falling into the hands of the Japanese military, KAM-TONG tries to persuade KWAI-SENG to flee from there, but KWAI-SENG insists on staying. Having probed into the matter, KAM-TONG learns about her real reason, so he decides to also stay and assist KWAI-SENG to evacuate the rest of the people from the Chinese Sector.
