Knowing why LING got so depressed, SAN's mother encouraged LING to save the relationship by practising the 'Chung Ling Sword Consummate' together. Yet failing to understand each other thoroughly they failed to learn the new kung-fu.
YING gradually grow to love LING and on LING's departure to Foo Chow, she gave him a present. This greatly moved LING.
