Finding that Wai looks strange, Ching secretly follows him. When she witnesses that Lam kills Wai in order to protect himself, Ching is shocked and faints. She hurts her brain in her falling.

Tsing asks Ching about Wai's death but she has lost her memory. Mui grieves for her son's death and Lan fails to comfort her. Lam feels sorry for her but he regrets too late. Lam tests Ching and feels relieved when finding that she fails to recall anythin9 about the murder. In order to find out the truth about the murder, Tsing asks Fang to help Ching reover her memory but she fails. Ching's condition is even worsened.
