2nd April, 2004. VINCENT works around the clock. Criminal Intelligence Bureau senior inspector LAW SAU LING advises him to take it easy. When his subordinate TANG WAI CHING briefs him on a progress report, he is too tired and falls asleep. PANG WAI meets WAI in a pub and loves him from first sight. She lingers around him and demands to move into his home. TUNG’s leader PANDA is in prison for personal assault. TUNG picks him up on his release day. During an investigation, WAI finds a bag of laundry belonging to his ex-wife FONG’s shop lying outside. He tries to take it back to the shop and finds FONG has been taken hostage by a man. VINCENT knows that the man is connected to YEUNG’s assassination, so he rushes to the shop. WAI ignores VINCENT’s advice and breaks into the shop to save FONG. She is very moved by his act. The man shoots himself in the head without warning in front of WAI, so WAI is under suspicion.… ...
